Meet Our Staff

Scottie grew up locally in Draper and holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Virginia Tech. Prior to purchasing Northpoint Insurance Advisors IN 2017 (previously Carper Insurance), he worked in the high-tech industry with a Fortune 100 company and has experience dealing with a wide array of industries, including electricians, HVAC, production / manufacturing environments, and research and development centers. He is very involved in his community supporting local businesses with the Chamber of Commerce. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board for Pregnancy Resource Center – New River Valley which is a non-profit medical clinic for those facing unplanned pregnancy. He is also active in his church in Blacksburg.

Scottie works with new and existing business owners to find insurance and risk mitigation strategies to protect their business from losses. Scottie currently lives in Blacksburg VA with his wife, Billie, and three children. Occasionally you’ll find him on the golf course playing in fund raisers for the local non-profit organizations. His golf game isn’t what it used to be!

A lifelong resident of Pulaski County, Brad Alley is an avid family man, sportsman, business professional, and friend to many. He has served a host of families, businesses, and churches through the last 22 years as an insurance agent. Joining Northpoint in 2024, he continues to provide a high level of genuine, caring service to the residents of Southwest Virginia. A consummate “Cougar”, Brad is a graduate and ongoing supporter of Pulaski County High School. He advanced his education by obtaining an Associates Degree from New River Community College and Bachelors in Business Administration from Radford University. Professionally, he holds Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow and Agri -Farm Insurance Specialist designations.

Brad has been happily married to Julie Chaffin Alley for thirty-six years, and is father to Ashley, Dillon, and Brayden and now grandfather to Kip and Sophie. He enjoys family time, running, fishing, and listening to country music. He is a member of Dublin United Methodist Church.

Kimberly joined Northpoint in 2022 and has over 30 years of experience within the insurance industry. She is a specialist in all facets of commercial insurance. Kimberly grew up in Salem and currently resides in Salem with her husband, Craig, of 20 years, and a teenage daughter, Gennavieve. She has 2 cats Halle & Hokie who bring their family much joy. Kimberly enjoys crafting, knitting, exercising, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Johanna joined Northpoint in July 2020 and brings many laughs and much character to our team. “Jo” has been in the insurance industry for twelve years, starting as a captive insurance agent in Radford. She loves solving problems for customers and ensuring each person is thoroughly protected. Jo has two handsome kids, Caden and Easton. She also has two fur babies, Macie and Kizzy who she is crazy about!

A native of Pulaski, Eleanor brings a variety of practical experience to Northpoint when she joined in 2020. She leads our service team and can take care of policy questions and changes as well as advise and quote life insurance policies and Medicare supplements. Eleanor loves meeting and working with her customers and looks forward to speaking with them each day! She currently lives in Shiloh and is a mom of 2 wonderful kids Drew and Kal. Drew is grown and works in Radford at Regal Rexnord and Kal is an upcoming 2025 Senior at PCHS. Kal is a member of the Golden Cougar Marching Band. In addition to spending time with her children, Eleanor is a mom to 3 dogs and a ferret. (Bella, Sammy, Fiona and Pablo) and also enjoys traveling and TV time with the family and as always supporting her PCHS Cougars!

Marek grew up in Pulaski, another faithful Cougar alumni joining Northpoint in 2023! He lives in Pulaski and serves customers across the New River Valley. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family. He likes his role at Northpoint because he enjoys helping people in need and is part of a family of supporting co-workers!

Ricky joined the Northpoint team in November of 2022 and works in both personal and commercial lines of service. Originally from Harrisonburg, he graduated from Roanoke College with a major in Physics and a minor in Computer Science and Mathematics. He lives in Cave Spring and in his free time, he enjoys playing board games with friends and spending time with his housemate’s dog, Boudreaux and the house cat, Charlotte. Ricky excels in his role at Northpoint mastering the software with his computer science knowledge and desires to help people with their questions to ensure they have good coverage through their insurance policies.

Born and raised in West Virginia, Tullio is a long-term resident of the New River Valley, graduating from Radford in the late 90’s, he returned from western North Carolina in 2003. While the majority of Tullio’s experience has been in Christian conference management and non-profit church administration, his investment in the New River Valley through education and service provides unprecedented connections that will began to serve Northpoint customers in 2024 ensuring their needs are addressed. Tullio is excited to help Northpoint’s team’s invest in their community and confidently protect our customers’ assets. When not serving adults with disabilities or at the local food bank or with Young Life, you can find Tullio at home in Christiansburg enjoying his adult children, Liam, Ann Marie and Brennan.

Dan graduated from Virginia Tech in 1971 with a B.S. Degree in Business Education. After teaching various business subjects at Dublin High School in Dublin, VA for four years, Dan entered the Insurance Business as a Life & Health Insurance Agent. He became a sales manager in April 1977 with a National Company. On March 1, 1979 Dan founded Carper Insurance Agency as an Independent Agent selling Life, Health and Property and Casualty Insurance from his home in Christiansburg, VA. Dan moved his office to downtown Blacksburg on August 1, 1980; and, then relocated to its current location on January 1, 1997. On September 1, 2017, Dan sold Carper Insurance to Scottie Wyatt and has remained active in the agency on a part-time basis. Dan and his wife, Pam have two children, seven grandchildren and live in Blacksburg.
